There is no shortage of places to get great drinks in Charleston, and several spots specialize in margaritas. All of the city's top locales for margaritas use quality ingredients and an array of different tequilas.
Most places in Chucktown that serve margaritas also offer great happy hour specials and really party it up on Cinco de Mayo. Here is a list of some of the best places to get a margarita in Charleston!
Mex 1 is well known for their tequila infusions and tequila flights. That translates over to a diverse margarita menu where they use only fresh juices and 100% Blue Agave Tequila to make their creations.
Mex 1 favorites include the pineapple habanero margarita, Cadillac margarita, and the el jefe "the boss" margarita. The restaurant also has a daily happy hour that offers $5 margaritas from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Taco Boy has an affordable list of regular and frozen margaritas available for purchase at their Folly Beach and Downtown Charleston locations. The Charleston City Paper voted them to have the best margaritas in town four years in a row from 2014 to 2017.
Taco Boy's house margarita is made frozen or shaken with Sauza Giro Silver tequila, triple sec, and their house-made sweet and sour mix. Regular patrons enjoy the pineapple-infused margarita on the menu as well.
Santi's serves traditional Mexican fare, and their no-frills margaritas are a thing of beauty. They are particularly known for their strong margaritas.
Santi's has a fantastic happy hour special with $2.75 margaritas, and they also have frozen margarita options.

Minero's house margarita is made with reposado and anejo tequila, dry curacao, lime, orange, and agave. They serve margaritas spicy-style for $1 more and make a mezcal margarita for $2 more.
For $15, Minero's makes their fancy margarita. From 3:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, they offer $2 off margaritas during happy hour.
As the name would suggest, SOL Southwest Kitchen and Tequila Bar is known for their drinks, and they make their margaritas with premium Milagro tequila. They also use freshly-squeezed citrus juices, homemade sour mix, and other wonderful ingredients.
SOL has nine varieties of margaritas including fun creations like the blood jalapeno margarita, strawberry margarita, and habanero grapefruit margarita. $5 margaritas are available for happy hour Monday through Friday from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.
